Brineura being tested on eyes of children with CLN2.
Brineura (cerliponase alfa) is an enzyme replacement therapy for the treatment of CLN2 disease, and is typically infused directly into the brain every two weeks. A study recently commenced at Great Ormond Street Hospital London is now investigating the therapeutic potential of administering Brineura into the eyes of a select group of children with the disorder, in an attempt to prevent vision loss.
