Rare Disease Day 2025

28 February 2025

Rare Disease Day is observed on the last day of February annually, this year, it falls on Friday 28th February! We join people and organisations around the globe, our combined voice to raise awareness and promote change for over 300 million people living with a rare disease. 70% of rare diseases start in childhood. Right now, in Australia there are more than 50 children and young people living with the devastating neurodegenerative condition called Batten disease. The impact of this disease on every aspect of their life and those around them is unimaginable and immeasurable. BDSRA Australia continues to strive to make a practical difference to those battling Batten, the informal and professional supports and those searching for a cure. Get involved! Post, comment, share - whatever you can! You can get involved: update your social media profile by downloading (rarediseaseday.org) any of the official banners, graphics, backgrounds or filters, or share your story using the hashtags. Thank you for raising awareness for rare diseases and Batten disease #RareDiseaseDay #MoreThanYouCanImagine
