IDPwD is a United Nations (UN) observed day celebrated internationally. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.
We want to take this opportunity to recognise our amazing Batten warriors, their strengths, achievements and how they can make the most out of life when they have the right supports. Raising awareness of this rare genetic condition will make a difference for those affected.
Our mission at BDSRA Australia is to advocate, raise awareness, provide support to families and work with clinicians and researchers in the hope one day we will find a cure for Batten disease.
